Esther Tackett Wagner passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015 at her home in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She was born on April 24, 1940 at Beachfork, Tennessee. She was a member of the Marlow Mountain Chapel of the Eastern District Association. She attended Thornton Regular Baptist after she was married. She was a nurse for 49 years and retired from the Letcher County Health Department. She is survived by her husband: Elder Robert Wagner for 56 years. Surviviors included two daughters: Shawn (Tim) Finn of Mayking and Peggy (Paul Mark) Cook of Isom; 2 sisters: Yvonne Hall of Tiffin, Ohio and Dora Ball of Boise, Idaho; 5 grandchildren: Amber, Ashely, Robert, Aaron, and Whitney; 4 great grandchildren: Aiden, Easton, Lindsey, and Sawyer. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Sunday, July 5, 2015 at the Thornton Old Reglar Baptist Church with Carl Sparks, Bob Fields, and Jerry Smith officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday and Saturday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine, Kentucky.
