Judith Marie Vermillion, 85, of Whitesburg KY, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at her residence.

She was born February 28, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Virgil and Geneva Picklesimer.

She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Whitesburg KY, where she was active in a large number of ministries. These included food pantry, benevolence, financial, building programs, missions, Bible schools and many other programs. She was a business woman who owned and ran several restaurants.

She had a multi-talented artistic spirit and won many awards for her work in painting and photography. She touched many people's lives with those talents especially cake decorating and candy making. Her chocolate marbled peanut butter fudge was widely known and enjoyed.

She is survived by two sons, Douglas Scott Vermillion (Christine) of Florence KY; Karl Edward Vermillion (Joan) of Peoria IL; and one daughter Luann Vermillion Davis (Lonnie) of Richmond KY. She has five grandchildren; Rebecca, Andrea, Alessandra, Paolo, and Arthur, and one great grandson, Henry. She will be mourned by a host of relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to First Baptist Church of Whitesburg, KY  for landscape beautification.
