Harmie Griffie, 81, of Cornettsville passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Harmie was the son of the late James and Frankie Watts Griffie. Surviving is his wife: Sadie Jane Pratt Griffie; 2 sons: James Manon (Deedra) Griffie of Newman, Georgia and Tim (Rose) Griffie of Cornettsville; 1 daughter: Gemelia (Petie) Lewis of Cornettsville; 1 brother: Leslie Griffie of Morristown, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral: 12:00 O'clock Noon Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bob Caudill & others officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Griffie Cemetery at Cornettsville, Kentucky.
